Hi, I’m Jamie, Acupuncturist and remedial massage therapist

Even after 20 years of practice I am still amazed at the power of acupuncture and how it can be used to treat so many conditions.

My goal is to help people with this age old modality, to allow them to experience relief using a more natural approach for their health concerns.

Understanding Bundaberg Massage Options

As an Acupuncturist and Remedial Therapist in Bundaberg who focuses on pain relief, I've noticed many people are unclear about Bundaberg massage options. To clear some confusion, we've put together a page that lists and briefly explains each type of Bundaberg massage and how it may assist with pain relief.

I often use some of these massage techniques in combination with Acupuncture in my treatment for pain relief. Some of these massage techniques are similar and vary by name.

Remedial Therapy / Remedial Massage Bundaberg:

A Remedial Therapist is trained in multiple massage techniques, and other skills aimed at identifying and correcting painful conditions.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Focuses on deeper pressure applied to muscles and connective tissue. It may be helpful for chronic aches and pains.

Neuromuscular Therapy Massage/Myofascial Release:

A form of soft tissue techniques that aims to treat underlying causes of chronic pain involving the muscular and nervous systems.

Trigger Point Therapy:

Focuses on releasing trigger points, which are tight knots that develop in muscles and can cause pain over a large area.

Sports Massage Bundaberg:

Aimed at treating sport-specific issues and injuries, it may also be beneficial for non-athletes with chronic pain.

Swedish Massage Bundaberg:

A gentle therapeutic massage that may help with muscle tension and relaxation.

Thai Massage Bundaberg:

Incorporates massage and passive stretching. It may be beneficial for flexibility and joint pain.

Shiatsu:

A Japanese form of massage that uses acupressure. It may help with a variety of painful points.

Tui Na/ Acupressure Massage:

A Chinese therapeutic massage close to Shiatsu in technique but can be more vigorous.

Reflexology:

Focuses on hands and feet, based on the premise that certain areas correspond with organs and systems.

Pregnancy Massage:

A massage for pregnant women, addressing many of the physical challenges that come with pregnancy.

Lymphatic Drainage:

Gentle massage aimed at moving lymph fluids through the body and may be useful for some individuals with certain types of edema.

Craniosacral Therapy:

Gently focuses on the head, spine, and pelvic areas. It may be useful for treating tension-based conditions.

Rolfing:

Is a technique that focuses on reorganising of the body’s connective tissues, which may provide pain relief for some.

In our clinic, we use Acupuncture in combination with some of these massage techniques (Remedial Therapies) to help with pain. We've worked in Bundaberg for over 20 years and know the best ways to help. If needed, we can also suggest some of the top Bundaberg massage services.
